Paola is a Belgian-Colombian stop motion animator, set and prop maker, and filmmaker. She graduated from a bachelor in laws with a minor in psychology. She later enrolled in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts where she completed her bachelor’s and master’s in audiovisual arts in 2022 with the highest distinction. Her graduation project The Leak has since January 2023 travelled to more than 50 international film festivals around the world and been awarded in Romania, Serbia, Mexico and Argentina.

She is part of the StopMoLab 2023, a nine months mentoring program organised by MOMAKIN, directed to stop motion animation professionals.

She lives in Brussels where she works as an illustrator and graphic designer. She is currently in the pre-development phase of her first professional short film Playtime with the support of VOCATIO foundation scholarship of which she was a laureate in the audiovisual arts section in 2022.
